Visitors appreciate that public toilets don't clean themsleves. In many cases, that makes a fee inevitable - but still frustrating in times of need. To save people without ready change, Danfo now launches oayment via mobile phones.
Coincode is an SMS-based payment. The idea is simple: a visitor texts the number posted outside the toilet and receives a code back. This code is entered into the coin box and the door is unlocked. No fiddling with change!
The solution is trialled in two locations in Stockholm, with a further 4 installations across Sweden to be added during November.
For Danfo, Coincode is a way of providing easier access to our public toilets. If the trial period is successful, the solution can be implemented on all installations as early as next year.
